Baseball Express



Playing baseball as a kid and dreaming of someday
playing in the major leagues was a dream I lived every
day of my life. Through trials and tribulations and never
giving up, I was one of the lucky ones to fulfill my dream.
I am sharing with you, my life and insight into the game.
It made me who I am today and it wasn't until later in life,
that I figured out I was playing the game of life all along.

Stories



Throughout my career I have collected numerous baseball stories along the way. Some are funny, some are sad, and some are inspirational. It was a long journey to the top and one that I would take again. I would like to share some of these baseball stories with you.



I will tell you this for sure, the personal stories that I am going to share with you are from the many years of playing ball. They are stories of hard work and determination. Of what it took to make the club. Of perseverance and desire. And even some that are sad. But in the end,you will see that they are stories about what it took to the reach the top.

They are also about adversity and how we deal with it. In baseball and in life, when we are knocked down, you learn to get back up and to try again. Never was this more prevalent than when I played in Venezuela. I think baseball offers many similarities to the ultimate game of life. And it is how we handle this that determines the outcome.Whether we win or lose, what is on the inside of everyone is the ultimate test of our character.

Because if you keep on trying and you keep on getting up, you have already won. Baseball teaches us about failure and how to handle it. You can fail 7 out of 10 times at the plate and be considered an all-star. But if you focus on the 7 failures, you will lose within yourself.

You will also learn about courage and how baseball offers this. It takes courage to go out there and fight the fight when you know that everyone is yelling at you and your teammates are counting on you. You go up there knowing that you may fail. But you are happy you have the chance. Because the biggest failure in life is not trying at all. If you try with your best and honest effort, you have won.

I hope you enjoy some of the real and personal stories that Ihave experienced along the way. I hope they provide you with insight and inspiration for your daily life. And I hope you can learn from some of the tribulations that I went through to reach the top. If I helped you one little bit with some inspirational baseball stories, than you made my day.
