BASEBALL DRILLS

I have been playing baseball for 38 years, 13 of which have been professional. Including a world series. I have collected these routines over the many years. Some I have discarded, some I have saved. I have been tutored by some of the best.

The late, great, hall-of-famer, Eddie Matthews was my first hitting instructor in pro baseball. My first day in minor league ball I was asked to pick Mr. Matthews up at the airport and drive him to the park. Can you imagine the excitement I felt? It was incredible to say the least for a young 20 year old catcher.

Along the lines, I was fortunate to also have been tutored by some greats. Harmon Killebrew, Billy Williams, Dusty Baker to name a few.

Over my 13 year career, I have been shown many styles of hitting. Given many techniques to apply. What I learned is this, everyone has a different opinion about how to hit. One will want you to pull the ball. One will want you to use the whole field. One will want you to swing hard while the other says to just put the bat on the ball.What is correct?
