BASEBALL EXERCISES
Why should I do specific exercises?
You need to incorporate some basic baseball exercises to perform at your optimal and to prevent future injury.
Some of these are geared towards keeping the arm strong and involve the rotater cuff.
We could go into detail on every muscle listed in the shoulder or elbow but I will save you the trouble and just let you know what you need to be doing to help keep your arm at it's optimal.
When I played, the exercises I utilized were often called Jobe's exercises because of the great doctor that saved many a career with these exercises. They specifically hone in on the rotater muscles that are used in throwing.
I have found a great website that illustrates the motions that I am talking about. This is the link to check it out:
THROWING EXERCISES
These exercises will help you to prevent injury and to strenghen your rotater muscles if you utilize them.

Also, there are other things you can be doing to help with your arm strength and longevity and that is long toss. Get in a habit of playing nice and easy long toss with good fluid motion and this will help strengthen and stretch your throwing muscles.
Other exercises for baseball include using light weight dumbbells and doing strenghtening with high repetition. You want endurance and strength, not bulk.
To further enhance these baseball exercises, include a good cardio program and also some windsprints. If you combine everything I have mentioned here, you will be well on your way to preventing injury and developing those key muscles that will assist you in the game of baseball.....
